Hi, Arlo noob here. 🙂
Can you please confirm if Arlo base station can manage a "SmartThings Multipurpose sensor" by itself?
Or would the setup need a SmartThings hub to work?
Does the same hold true for all SmartThings?
Thanks !
Details:
I ordered an "Arlo Pro Smart Home HD Wireless IP Security Camera 3-pack" along with the Arlo Doorbell, both of which are yet to be delivered. However want to complete my home setup with Thanksgiving deals if possible.
The planned setup includes window sensors, but do not see any sold by Arlo/Netgear. There is apparently compatibility with SmartThings devices like - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F956F3B though. But it likely needs a SmartThings hub to work, which costs an extra $60+, an expense I would like to avoid if possible.

To my knowledge, NO...
the base units link to the cameras ONLY ( and light bridge/ doorbell ). The Base creates it own wifi network and is not accessable by any outside devices other than arlo products
Morse is faster than texting!

Thanks TomMac !
Much appreciate the prompt response.
Guess I'll have to procure a SmartThings Hub then.

So yes, I agree that Morse is faster than texting. 😉
