I was able to sync my Arlo with my Amazon Alexa Show 8 with no issues.

Question:  When I ask Alexa to view a specific camera on the Amazon Echo Show screen, sometimes it is in full screen and sometimes it is in Picture in Picture.

Is there a way to make the default view always full screen?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi @lgbalfa

When did this symptom first occur?

May I ask which troubleshooting steps you have tried so far? I don't want to suggest anything you have previously performed.

I just noticed it on my new replacement device.

All I did so far was a factory reset and it still did the same.

Is this normal to have picture in picture as default and not full screen?

Can you try updating your Alexa firmware and test this again.

How to Check Firmware on Echo Show 8

Swipe down from the top of the screen.

Tap the Settings gear icon.

Scroll down and tap Device Options.

Tap About.

Look for Device Software Version — this is your firmware version.

Echo Show devices update automatically, but you can help ensure it’s current:

Keep it plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi.

Leave it idle for a while, especially overnight.

Optionally, reboot the device by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in.

There’s no manual update button, but sometimes saying: "Alexa, check for software updates." can trigger a check (though she may just say it's up to date).

Hi @lgbalfa

Just checking in again. Were you able to verify if the device is updated?

The device software is current.

I think it's possible that this is just normal.

Hi @lgbalfa

The symptom you are experiencing looks to be associated with the Alexa platform. Can you go to this URL to receive and PM me with your Alexa customer ID and the team will notify Amazon of the symptom you are experiencing.
