is there a way to adjust the length of recordings?

I currently have the wireless doorbell with Arlo 3 and a lot of times when ups or fedex delivery guy pulls up I see him go to back of his vehicle to get the package and recording stops. It misses him bringing package to door or going back to truck. Sometimes it starts recording again when he is driving off other times it doesn't record this either.
