I've programed the system to send me an email if motion is detected.  Can it also call my phone so I know to check my email?

It can't call although there could be some clever hacks with various services to do so. However, that's what the push notifications are for - the app, as long as you haven't specifically logged out, will notify you upon motion detection while the email is sent once the video is stored.

OR... use your phone # in email format so the Arlo alerts come as a text messg ( SMS )...works better on my android phone than email as the sms pops up instantly ( don't have to open email )
