Im am wondering if i can detect motion and record on more than one camera at a time. if so how?

Each arlo camera records if it detects motion irrespective of what the other cameras connected to the same base station are doing.
i trust you are aware of the long term complaint has been the lag in motion detection for the Arlo camera

Not sure what the second part was supposed to do to answer the question. In any event, you can use the rules in your modes to use one camera to record on another as well as on itself. There are numerous examples here of how to set up the rules to accomplish. Search for "nested rules".
