Bought this today and we had it working. Then when we were working out how to set it all up, I inadvertantly selected deactivate, thinking this would just turn off the motion.

Wrong!

Now we cannot see the camera on the app or pc, Mode has disappeared.

Help what do I do.

Have tried turning it all off and syncing, but message is just How to sync Camera, when we have and the light is on.

if you deactivated the camera , have you tried removing the batteries for 3 seconds and then re install. before attemping to sync

Did this happen on both of the cameras? I'd reset the base station just in case (Holding reset and sync for 10 seconds) the start from scratch.

Good morning activemr,

I would like to assist in getting this issue resolved for you.

According to our data center report, your system is now offline.

Here is an article that may be helpful in getting your system back online: My Arlo base station is offline how can I troubleshoot It?

Please let me know if this is helpful to you.

Thanks,

I have tried reset. Turning all off. Taking batteries out. Hasnt worked.

The lights on the Netgear are all on and Green.

I notice that the light on the Netgear 8 port gigabit ethernet switch is now flashing amber for that port.

So I am now assuming that it is now not connecting to the interenet. Which is why we cant see base station on site.

It was working yesterday.

I am not sure how I can go in and check settings on router.  DHCP? How to check change settings on switch?

I would appreciate your help

It could be the base station having a problem with the Ethernet port or possibly the switch.  You usually can't do anything about the switch other than to change ports and/or power cycle it.  I'd try both before thinking it's Arlo.  Stuff happens...

Good morning activemr,

According to our data center report, you are now back online!

I do notice, however, that your camera does not have the most up to date firmware.

Please follow these instructions to help get your camera on the latest firmware:

How can I trigger my Arlo system to update its firmware?

You can configure your base station to automatically update its firmware the next day. If you enable Auto Update FW (found under Settings > Base Station Settings), the base station and camera firmware will automatically update itself between 3am and 5am the next morning.

To trigger your Arlo system to update its firmware the next day:

    1. Log in to your Arlo account at https://arlo.netgear.com/#/login.
    2. Select Settings > Base Station Settings.
    3. Make sure that the Auto Update FW setting is set to the ON position.
    4. As long as Auto-Update FW is ON and there is a base station firmware update available, the base station will update itself the next day between 3am and 5am.

Cameras will also update their firmware on this schedule, if there is a firmware update available and Auto Update FW is ON.

Please let me know if this helps.

I look forward to your response.

Thanks,

DeannS
