Hello.
I just noticed the old iPhone 4S (iOS v9.2.1) does not go to sleep when the (new/lat)est Netgear Arlo app is on screen even if it is just idling. I tried power cycling the old iPhone, but that did not help. Is this a known issue? Going back to home screen, without Arlo showing on screen, works though.
Thank you in advance. 🙂

ant,
I was able to test this using iOS v9 (ipad 2) and was not able to replicate the issue. Do you have any other iOS devices that are behaving this way?

No, I don't. I'll have to borrow a newer iDevice. Just an old iPhone 4S. I wonder if anyone else has the same problem.

OK, I borrowed an iPad (ME993LL/B model) with its iOS v9.2.1. It had no problems with its two minutes timer. 😕 I wonder why my old iPhone 4S' minute doesn't go to sleep (autolock) after a minute. Is there something different with 4S beside being very old? 😞

ant,
This sounds like a phone setting, not a function of the Arlo app. I have tested on multiple iOS devices and have not seen this behavior. Be sure all of your iPhones auto lock settings are set to the desired screen time out. You might also consider reinstalling the Arlo app and rebooting the iPhone to further isolate the issue.

Where are these multiple auto lock settings in iOS? I thought there was only one setting for all.

ant,
A new version of the Arlo app was recently released. Are you still experiencing this behavior on your iPhone 4S after having installed the latest version of the app?

OK, I figured out the pattern after playing with this issue more this morning. On the old iPhone 4S, I noticed the issue only happens on Arlo's Camera screen. Other Arlo screens did autodim and black to sleep. I tried to reproduce this on the same iPad, and was finally able to reproduce it.
Can you please try again but do it on the iOS app's CAMERA screen only? No need to stream or anything. Just leave it idling on it.
