accepting guest invite

I have been trying to accept an invite from an arlo q user. I selected the link, which required me to create an account, then it makes me connect to a device, and takes me thru the standard add a device protocol. Makes no sense. No instruction for joining as a guest. How am I supposed to create an account when I don't have a devise to add? Nothing tells me how to create an account without a device

After clicking the invitation link a new account must be created to view the shared cameras (you must create the account using the provided link). Are you creating the account using the provided link in the invitation?
