This is not a complaint but rather what seems to happen in reality and I find it distressing. I am probably wrong but...
It looks like your programmers don't test their android application in real life situation, they seems testing the program with the cameras on their knees and if it sound good, they add it on Google Play Store and wait...I really think they are taking the camera's owners as beta tester.
Before adding new feature in a application, WHY don't you try first to solve primary bugs in the application to make people happy and AFTER decide what will be next?
Normally , the new version of a program allow people to continue using their old settings if their device does not allow updating . When a program is well done, it check first the version of the program and decide which features will works and wich one don't.
In 2016, i still use 2 or 3 programs than i update with some old setting dating from Windows95. We still can open a .DOC document dating from 20 years ago..new program still see the settings we made in that time...and nothing crashed !
Why don't you ask people from the forum communauty to be Beta-Tester before laughting a new application version ? Unfortunately, I shall trusted them more than your programmers...
I wrote this because since I bought all of my wireless and Q Arlo cameras 2 months ago, nothing was solve by Netgear Expert and you add some other problems with your upgrade...so PLEASE FIX the ANDROID APPLICATION PROBLEMS before adding new features...
Your technical expert try to help me but when they think having a solution, you update everything and we have to restart from the beginning...
I look at all new problems create by your update and i am now scare each time i have to update the program.

There acually are a number of 'beta' or field testers on the board... Usu they send out the sw ( cameras/ bases ) updates to us for a few weeks before general release.
But as to the App... no.

But as to the App... no... BUT THEY SHOULD
This is ridiculous, programmers do not seem to realize they hold people's lives in their hands .They seem to forget that the parents entrust the life of their baby with the Arlo Q camera and that they hope to hear their child if he is choking or needs help . How can they trust a application that crash each 5 minutes and change our settings and plannings ?
They seem to forget that some rely on their cameras system to check if their old parents are going well after a hospitalisation or whether they do not fall because their walking difficulties or even to ensure that nobody abuse them ...
They seem to forget that some traders have put their destiny into their hands if ever a criminal arise .. The Arlo cameras are there to protect us and to film the crime, be it theft, rape, someone trying to enter our property, murder or just a human who needs help .. and we need them to be 'functional'.
WE ARE NOT PLAYING A GAME, WE ARE PLAYING OUR LIFE....
Every time they send us a video, they thank us to trust them ... but ... should we trust them ??? Personally, I don't trust them anymore ... AND YOU ?
So I sincerely believe that there should be a beta tester for their application among the people in the community but it would have to be people who already use their complete services as CVR PLAN 24/24 or live view with different resolutions ... not people who are just looking for birds detection...Real life what!
I just realise it now ,..when I try to see back CVR recording, it shot down the Arlo Q camera (another bug to add)

In my country, we call it a application not a software...
If I understand right, you're telling me than many persons haveTRIED the new software with the new firmware and nobody saw all the bugs it provide .... It's incredible...I am more disapointed than ever...
If the new software/firmare don't work and "crash your system", can you go back to your old SW or you are stick with it ? How does it work ? I'm curious...

I just answered what was meant by SW, not a description of each. Firmware is, by definition, software. It's just embedded in nonvolatile memory, hence the "firm" part.
As Tom stated, there are testers out there who get early releases of the firmware. Not so with the apps or software by your definition. The exact interaction between them therefore may not be tested by the beta testers.

I'd like to know if they "FIX" the Android Application/software or it still make problems with the settings of the cameras or else
I don't use the application on my tablets since they made the upgrade but I hate always looking it on my computer...Can I reinstall the Android application on my tablets or you suggest me to wait to avoid complications ?

There has been an update, I believe, since the last time you prob used the app.
I run both apps on IOS and Android ( mostly use the web access and I find it easier to test functions first ) and recently both have had newer versions.
I would load the app to your android device and try it to see if it's working... If it doesn't it's a simple procedure to remove from the device.
The biggest problem I see is that there are so many versions of android os version now and then so many different devices it's very hard to get 100% compliance across the field.
I happen to be running Android 4.4.2 on an older LG phone... I have no problems with the app on this platform. Matter of fact it's pretty stable.

Last time I update the tablets was the 17 May 2016....and Android application/software was Full Of Bugs....and A lot of people complain about it...
So did they change something in this application ? Should I trust the programmers this time ?
Thanks for answering

Not sure which version you tried as the change / update to the Android app was on 5/17/16
the current version to my knowledge is 2.1.0-12984
All i can say is it works fine on my LG running 4.4.2 android ( only i don't use schedule via tha apps , so can't vouch for that )

Badly, the Arlo Android Application still make problems on CVR recording.
The Arlo Q disconnect as soon as motion is detected...Completely the opposite of what the camera is supposed to do...
Still bad, bad, bad 😞

Don't think that's an app problem. I'd use the reset button to reset the camera, resync and try again. Also, can you say definitively that the Q is disconnected when motion is detected? Are you getting videos?

"Don't think that's an app problem."
So what do you think it is ? I pay for a CVR Plan to get recording 24/24 14 days on the Arlo Q camera, I don't pay to have "holes" in the recordings. When the Arlo Q camera detect motion, CVR recordings completely stop...I don't pay for that....I pay to get the complete recordings.
When you loose the complete sequence exactly when you need it (sometime more than 1 hour ), you don't mind about getting some videos capture as compensation.
Is it a firmware problem, is it a Arlo Android Application problem, I don't mind, like I say in this post, IT IS A PROGRAMMATION PROBLEM, cameras are good...but the programmers....not really...and Android application is full of bugs specially in CVR section...
Look at the holes in the CVR recording, they correspond exactly at the moment then people are in the piece and i loose what is the most important because Arlo Q stop filming right there and this is inacceptable...
Tell me why I should pay for this when it don't works ? Do you pay to get a full recording plan ?
Still disappointed about application
