I did'nt realize that you had to pay for the app at the apps store. Is it a one time fee or monthly or what? The box says free apps where can I find them.

The app has no charge in any app store.  Dunno where you saw that.

Peachyfrekus,

As jguerdat says above, the Arlo mobile app is free and usable on both iOS and Android. Are you by chance referring to subscription plans for your Arlo account? Subscription plans are not required in order to utilize the mobile app.

I have an iphone 6. I wanted to sync my phone with the camera, so I can see who's coming on my porch taking my packages. I went to the app store and saw 2 different apps for arlo. One said get it for $7.99. So I clicked on the other one and is was was asking for a credit card and something about a payment.

So where is just the free mobile app. How do I set it up on icloud. Can I save any of the footage from the camera?

I saw it on the app store for Iphone. One was asking $7.99 the other one was asking for a credit card as  soon as I tried to down load it.

I went to the app store and punched in Arlo by Netgear and I get the same app that you show with the dog. So I click install and then it says pay here click to confirm credit card. Same results for both my computer and iphone.  I'm trying to sync them with the camera. What am I doing wrong? Is NY state trying to get in on this by adding some kind of fee? o.O

Tom and I are both in NY and have no such issue.  It's free - period.  Sounds like your phone needs help.  I don't have iOS but on Android I tried searching the same phrase (Arlo by Netgear) and ended up with exactly one choice, the one that's free and installed.

Peachyfrekus,

This sounds like the app market is asking you to enter a credit card as confirmation for the download (possibly an iOS setting). The Arlo App is a free application and requires no payments to download. Are you able to download any other apps on your iOS device? Do you get the same credit card confirmation request?
