Hi All,
Recently, San Jose is having this windy climate. Trees are moving left and right due to heavy winds. My Outdoor Arlo camera detects tree moving and keeps sending me notifications every other minute when continuous windy.
Any advice? Would have been good if Arlo camera had face recognition feature.. 😛
Thanks,
DJ

Facial recognition would be handy to a point but right now all you can do is lower sensitivity and/or change the camera position/angle to try to exclude as much vegetation as possible.

I agree with the sensitiviy and reaiming suggestions.
I have that problem, too. The position of the sun makes a difference for me as well (due to the sun shining through the moving trees.)
I have 3 cameras outdoor and depending on the time of day, the camera(s) impacted varies. I ended up creating several different modes to make it fairly easy to temporarily disable the one(s) catching the motion. (Ex: A+B+C, A+B, A+C, B+C, A, B, C)
I do have to remember to go back and reset it to A+B+C once everything calms down. I'd love it if they would add a feature that lets me say run mode X for the next 2 hours and then switch back to mode Y afterwards... that would save me from having to go back in and reset it.

Isn't that what the Schedule is for? Set up different modes and then schedule each mode to run for the day, time of day, and length of time you desire in the Schedule. For Example: Set up modes A+B, A+C, A+D, A+B+C, A+B+C+D. Then go to the Schedule and activate each mode for the day and time of day you desire. Mode A+B could be active for two hours starting at 9:00am on Monday, Tuesday, and Wed. Mode A+C could be active from 10:01am for four hours on Mon, Tues And Wed. Etc...
Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion, but since the problem (motion detection set off by a combination of wind and sun) doesn't happen every day or same time of day, scheduling the change won't resolve the issue.
