Thinking of buying some Arlo's, question about motion detection.

Because the cameras are wireless and battery, is it true that you see no image or video unless "Motion" is detected? I presently have some Philips In-Sight cameras which are wired. The advantage here is that I always have a live view of whatever the cameras see. If motion or sound is detected than a video is generated. If I want to check the weather or to see into a specific room, I can whenever I want....If the Arlo only comes alive when there is sound or video that's ok also....

Yes, motion is required.  However, you can go to the Cameras screen and manually live stream.

PS to above, there is no sound with Arlo.
