can more than one camera record at the same time, if motion is detected on two cameras or even three cameras at once?  Will it record all the cameras?

recording will do a max of 4 cameras at the same time

So I am to assume if I wanted, for arguements sake, to record 5 cameras at once I would need 2 bases.  I just want to make sure that if necessary, I would be recording EVERYTHING that the camera's would see.

That's correct. The system is capable of streaming up to four cameras per base station. So, if you have more than four cameras conencted to the same base station you run the risk of missing events.

Though, I'm wondering in what kind of a scenario you'd have four concurrent motion events. A ninja attack maybe, or a temple of monkeys in India?

Lol, that litterally made me laugh.

I'm sorry, my answer is probably very boring compared to your example.  I just want to record everything, or potentially everything.  I want to put cameras in and outside my home.  I wish I had a cool story like Ninja's.

But your probably right, 1 base station will probably be just what I need.
