Is there a way to set all cameras to record when one of them detects motion?

billyinlasvegas,

Yes, this can be done by setting up an additional rule for the camera. First you will need to create a custom mode, then you will want the following rules:

If Camera A detects motion then record on Camera A (this allows your camera to trigger itself upon detecting motion)

If Camera A detects motion then record on Camera B (you would create this rule so that when Camera A detects motion then it will also trigger Camera B to record.)

You would do this for each camera you want Camera A to trigger.

For steps on how to create modes and rules, take a look here: How do I create and define Modes and Rules?

I hope this helps!

I am not given an option to start recording on a different camera than the one that detects motion or audio. For example, if I say that if camera A detects motion than I can only start recording on camera A. What am I missing?

I have two Arlo Q's and one regular Arlo setup currently. I want to start recording on the regular Arlo camera if my Arlo Q's detect motion. Can this only be done for the regular Arlo's?
