I've been scared to death of the updates, so much so in fact, I still have not updated since the December update, let alone the one just released. Seems every update brings new problems... functions added, functions discontinued. I'm on an Android, if that matters.

The app is only part of the equation. Firmware updates are automatic. How do you know you're "fixing" anything?
