I would like to recover a video I accidentally deleted last night, but I can't find the recycle bin in the new app. It used to be difficult enough to find in the old app, but now it seems impossible ... does anyone know if/where it might be hidden now?
Thanks!

It's available in the web interface while the app gets worked on.

If it's available in the web interface, I can't find it.

Have just looked in Settings/subscriptions/(everything) and can't find recycle bin. Mind you the milk in the fridge still eludes me;->
Plan allows for 7 days of stored memories. I accidentally deleted a video 3 hours ago.
Can't find it anywhere. Has it gone for ever?
If recycle bin does exist and you have just seen it, please provide path to recycle bin from camera page e.g. camera page/settings/blah/de-blah/blah/recylce bin:-)
thanks heaps.

Someone from tech support please respond.

Sorry about my previous post - I guess I was tired or stoopid or something. The only thing in Subscriptions is the Delete All Files button, not the Recycle Bin.

The recycling bin has been removed so videos you no longer need can be permanently deleted in just one simple step, and there’s no need to worry about manually managing previously deleted videos.

I think Arlo should stop talking about this like it's a desired feature. It's not. It's a serious problem. Every file management program out there (including our email apps) has the ability to recover a deleted file. And for those of us that get numerous security videos each day, we need the ability to manage our video files, including recovering them when we suspect we missed a security event. Removing the recycle bin severely limits the usefulness of the app, AND the security system.
And no, I don't think downloading each and every video file to my home PC is a useful workaround.
Come on Arlo marketing and technical people. Put your thinking caps on and think this through. You might have satisfied a handful of customers that had "privacy" concerns with videos in the cloud ... if they were truly concerned they shouldn't have bought a cloud-based security system in the first place! Meanwhile, you've created a severe limitation for the rest of us.
Please put the recycle bin back and just give people the option to empty it, and/or permanently delete individual files. This would even work well with the other new feature of only keeping videos for a fixed time period...

The absence of the recycle bin is well known. The onus is on you to collect videos. What happens when the recycle bin cycles out? Should there be a recycled recycle bin? If it's important, take care of it yourself.
I have a Python script that you can use to download videos en masse. You can then schedule it on your computer so it just does it with no interaction from you. But, again, you have to take the initiative. If you're interested, send me a PM with your email address.

This just happened to me. I didn't delete videos from the 14th or 15th. I viewed them eight hours ago and now I have nothing from the 14th and 15th AT ALL.
Have you checked if you can see the videos when you view the library in the browser (http://arlo.netgear.com)? In some cases the apps don't show all videos in the library but when viewing with the browser they do.
Also, if you have email notifications turned on, the links to the videos embedded in them should still work, unless, of course you're past the retention period of your subscription plan, which is only seven days in the basic plan.
If you don't have email notifications turned on, consider doing that.

Is there currently any way to download the videos to the cloud and have videos store for confirmed delete .
I see a video and then at times they are no longer available within the window.
