Would be great to be able to have multiple slots of armed device in the day or, being able to set start time later than end time (i.e to arm device from 10pm to 6am)

Mitchou,

This can already be done using the schedule feature. If you would like to set "Armed" through midnight, schedule from 10-11:59pm and then again from 12:00-6:00am on the next day.

Hi JamesC,

With your suggestion, the system would not be armed for one minute (11:59pm-12:00am), right? Or is Arlo smart enough to realize that you want overnight coverage and keep it going straight through?  Not that I'm overly concerned about the one minute gap, just want to make sure I understand the limitations.

Thanks,

Brendon

Hi JamesC

It cant be sone this way as only one slot per day is avaailable. When you have set up the slot 12.00 to 06.00am...how do you set up the 10.00 to 11.59pm on the same day?

Thx

There is no downtime between 11:59PM and 12:00AM.  It actually goes THROUGH the whole 11:59PM minute and then picks up at 12:00AM so no loss of anything.

Has anyone figured out how to create a schedule that allows multiple modes throughout the day?  For example, ARMED from 10p-5a, and geofencing from 5a to 10p?  Currently, it appears that under schedule mode it's either ARMED or DISARMED.....

Go the other waay around - use geofencing to trigger the schedule.  For GF when Away, use a mode (Armed, f'rinstance).  When Home, uset GF to use the schedule.

I didn't see anyone answer.

Could you program various times within 24hr day?

For example 6-5am, 10-11am, 4-5pm within the schedule?

I would like to maybe use this product as SurfCAM.

Capture view at three or more specific times during a 24hour period during the day.

You can use the schedule to record during those times with no problem but the cameras are motion detection ones so only when such detection is to be had would you get a recording.  They do not stream constantly as you seem to want them to.

Camera would be at a remote location that would not have any line power.

constant stream would drain batteries to quickly.

All I want is a short timed view of ocean condition at scheduled time.

Would you think the motion detection could pickup on wave movement and provide

capture?  What is tihe max time for video capture?  1-2mins?   If so, that would be fine.

Right now that's timed recordings of any sort are not possible without extra equipment such as maybe SmartThings or IFTTT and even then I don't know if it's possible.  However, based on your description, an Arlo Go camera would seem to be best suited since it's battery-operated and uses cell service so it's self-contained.  You could then use the app or browser to take a quick manual snapshot as desired, just not on a schedule.
