I just recently aquired Arlo Security camera and I set it a week ago  and on Saturday Sept 19th I was at a flee market and received a notification on my cell phone that the camera captured movement.  When I pulled it up on my cell phone I realized that it was FedEx who had delivered a Package (Nutrasystem) and told my wife that the packaged had arrived and showed her the video of the delivery.  When we got home (1 Hr 10 Min later) the package had been stolen and my camera did not register any movement.  I feel the lag time for video taping is too long the purpose of this system is to capture thefts and keep us secure. I hope Arlo corrects this otherwise the system is useless.

It's all about positioning and sensitivity.  Sorry to hear that you got ripped off.  Going forward, I'd be checking into whether someone moving slowly from a blind spot could either not trip motion detection or is simply not in the field of view. Any possibility a neighbor saw something that would help you troubleshoot?

I too had a delivery stolen from my front door,  ARLO CAUGHT NOTHING......

Netgear needs to put a Disclaimer on this product and STOP advertising it as a security system.

Thier jaded marketing practice of "install these cameras ANYWHERE" needs to stop IMMEDIATLY.  The pictures and videos on thier own website boarder False Advertising.

Let's face it,  there are a few "brand ambassadors" in this community, front line soldiers who try and take the brunt of the complaints and put out fires.  If its not some scripted cut and paste reply to your issue its a fantasy land of excuses like, outside ambient temperature, interference, sun spots, etc.

Good luck trying to find a resolution....

Thanks for the reply, but I did check with my neighbors and as always nobody sees anything.  I repositioned the camera to a downward view but a shorter distance, I don't know if this was wise but I have been searching on the internet that laser beams affect security cameras and persons can avoid being captured.  I'm not sure if this is true I sure would like to know. Hope someone could enlighten me.  I appreciate everyones comments, I am trying hard to make this security system work, it didn"t come cheap.  Thanks
