No... the sensor for the PIR detects IR or reflection  of same...most glass does not allow IR to pass thru.

Also as a side note, if live viewing thru a glass at night, the IR illuminators will reflect back off the glass and wash out picture.

But, they are waterproof and can be placed outside.
