We bought the four camera package then added a single camera. for some reason we cannot get the fifth camera to record on motion. The motion icon on this camera is always gray and cannot be made active/green with anything we have tried so far. What secret maneuver are we missing?

You have to add the 5th camera into the MODES/RULES in order for it to function...

Got to the SETTINGS and make sure you have a RULE for the new camera and then Check in the ALL MOTION ON MODE that the camera rule is checked 'green' to make it active in the mode for ALL MOTION ON.

If the "running man" isn't going GREEN but you can live stream to view it, then it's in the mode/rule settings

PS... you can only record on a MAX of 4 cameras at the same time... ( not that the man won't be green(motion on), just that if you try to manually record from all your cams, you can only do 4.
