I am having a real hard time with the mode and rules thing .  How do I put 2 cameras on full time motion and the other 3 on a schedule.

You would need two modes. The first would include only the cameras to be on the whole time. The other would have all cameras enabled. Then create a schedule that would have a start and stop time for the all cameras mode and fill in the rest of the time with the Mode that only has the few cameras enabled. Assuming you want all cameras on at night, start with the all cameras mode starting at midnight and stop it, say, 7AM. Stat the 2 camera mode at 7:01 and stop it at 7PM. Then finish with all cameras at 7:01PM and end at midnight. Repeat and modify as desired for all days.
