Motion Detection, changing sensitivity

I am trying to change the detection setting so it will not continue to send so many alerts -- I have been going to Motion detection test trying to change from 80 to 72 percent but it is not holding after I save it -- what am I doing wrong -- I have changed it before but cannot remember what I did
