I just purchased a three camera system and to test things out i Installed one camera outdoors. It works great at capturing things that are up close to the house. My problem has been kids in the neighborhood from side walk area which is about 25 feet in throwing things at houses in the neighborhood. Is there a way to position cameras to capture something that far away?
Thanks for any advice..
John

You'd pretty much need to position the cameras closer to the action. Use a tree or see if a neighbor would allow your camera on their property. Another option a few folks have used is the use a post with a hole cut into it that fits the camera (think mailbox post). A search here may get you the details.

Not really and prob not a picture that would be good for ID ( unless you know them )
For people , the PIR is good to about 20ft... It will pick up larger items like cars but not people on a reg basis.
