Hi, is there anyway to keep all cameras working and just have one camera with motion detection on?

Yes. You just need to create your own mode with one rule for the camera that you want to have detection on. Then select that mode to be the active one. All cameras will still be available for live view but only that one will detect motion and automatically record.
