Inground sprinklers setting off camera recording at night

My in-ground sprinklers come on at 4am for about 15 mins. They are causing one of my cameras to detect motion and record. Since the motion detection is IR(heat sensing), any ideas why this is happening?

"Might" be the change of tempurature between the ambient air and the cold water setting it off......

Thx! I was wondering if the camera could be that sensitive to a temp change like you suggested.
