I remember during set up, I had to choose a minimum off time between recordings. Now I can not find that setting anywhere.

It was never there unless maybe during the original beta process (before production release). The best you can do is to change the recording time. The location of the camera to the base may have an effect, too, with a poor signal increasing the lag time. I've seen 15-30 seconds mentioned as typical reset time between videos.
