I did see in the instructions what the best way to setup for motion detection.. What is the best way I can set the cameras so that I don't get alerts all the time because of shrubbery moving?

Motion detect is adjustable by the slider bar ...SETTINGS, RULES, Camera your choosing...Called MORE VIDEOS - LESS VIDEOS
The normal stting is about 80%... You will have to test run it a few time to get it the way you want it for the subject size you need to capture.
In the past I have found for me a 65-70% setting eliminates wind movement while still capturing a person sized subject.
