Is there a time setting to delay "reactivating" motion detection?
What I mean is...
1) The batteries are rated for 4-6 months at average recording of 4 minutes / day (4 minutes X 30 days X 4 months = 480 minutes or 8 hrs)
2) It's my understanding that recordings time out at 120 seconds (max) but automatically restart when there is continued motion.
So, my son has people over and they spend 8 hours on the back patio constantly triggering the motion sensor...Is this camera now dead until I get home and change the battery OR is there some setting to delay subsequent recordings (i.e. after recording wait 60 minutes before motion sensor can be triggered again).
Appreciate your response.

Under the setting you described, no.
The best option would be to either 1)turn off the motion detect after being notified and viewing video 2) using scheduled recording to turn off motion when you son/friends would be at the home 3) give your son a "friend access" to turn off the cameras ( allows you to maintain major control )
