I am using Arlo in a remote vacation home in rural Montana. I routinely get "false" alerts due to bugs flying by or even landing on the lens of the camera.
I know that the solution is to reduce the video sensitivity in the settings but how low is too low. In other words, I am mainly using the camera to detect the following:
1. Large wildlife (deer, elk, grizzly, etc...).
2. Detect human intruders.
3. Detect uninvited cars coming down my driveway.
Right now I have the video settings at 70%. How low is too low to help filter out bugs and changes in sun reflections versus an actual car, person on large animal?
Thank you!

I don't think the sensitivity can't really be scaled down enough so that insects don't trigger a motion event. They only have to come close enough, no matter what sensitivity setting the camera is on.
I haven't found anything that can be done about insects triggering the cameras.
I guess it depends on how many insects you have around that cause false positives. There's probably a threshold where Arlo cameras just don't make sense to use in certain areas at certain times of year.

Unless it's in a fully shaded areas, your prob at the low end of the scale for sensing what you want.
Have you tried something like a temp fix... small cloth sprayed with insect killer hung near by, or spray the wood if able?
The only other thing i can think of off - hand is, if it is really remote and your worried about the batteries going south ( due to false triggers ) while away is I'd add a solar panel and battery to keep it going ( yes, total mod ) .
