My messages don't seem to get posted

Twice I have attempted to post a message; I hit the POST button; it moves on to a screen that seems to prompt me to post again; but nothing seems to post, and when I search for my posts, they don't show up.  Is there a lag time for moderators to approve posts?  How long?  Now I see in a different column a need to "label" it as well.  Perhaps that is the problem?

Yes each new discussion requires tagging the initial post with at least one label. The requirement to choose a label stumped me when I first started reading and posting to this forum.
