Live chat requesting credit card number via phone call

Requested live chat feature for 2 of 4 cameras with red image. Red made this sound super easy as if I am getting 2 replacement cameras in the mail and will call for credit card # but no charges will be made. Only $2 hold. 

Is this really that easy or am I in for a roller coaster after this chat session is over?

(already tried all forum solutions to resolve red image)

Usu they will hold your card # in case you don't return the old cameras
