Our rescue cat I saved about two years ago half-dead and starving on my patio during a winter storm. Acts more like a dog and friendly, it's funny she looks directly into the camera

Cats can't see IR, but I know my cat looks into the cam all the time... prob just curious. 

Also,  the cam clicks when the IR come on and she hears the noise.
