If this case is over/has been decided, I would like to know what the punishment actually was...picking up litter for a week, reimbursing you, or actual jail time?
How did he have access to your car? Is this a garage with a closable door, or is it something like an open carport?
Y'know, he came to your house with a deadly weapon. He only slashed your tires, but it's possible that he was willing and ready to do more if you or a loved one had entered the vicinity.
And finally, the cop's question (I'm not a cop but I have a few friends who are and this is always the first question): Did you know this person and/or have past dealings, arguments?
I will leave my last question unasked...

It's great to know what happened.
Regarding the quality of the video, it's not HD 720p. There are big grains when I watch on a 23" computer screen.
Have you tried Best Video setting? Is the quality better with it?
