There's nothing you can do to improve email notifications.  You should realize that app notifications occur at the beginning of motion detection/recording while email notifications happen once uploaded.  Thus, the fastest way to get notifications is via the app.

I feel it also makes a diff on how the email travel thru the system....

I added my phone # as an email address ( so it comes as sms instead of push ), I find the SMS comes thru a bit faster than the email, and it easier to view as it's a pop- up.

same here, it's about 3:15 minutes from movement to app notifcation.  not sure what if anything one can do to improve it at this point
