Hello Arlo team,

I am interested in your camera's size and features but because I dont have allot of time to manage battery life,

I am holding my self back from purchasing some units due to the 4 month battery life.

What if I dont think balance is well enough for me? and I require HD recording to be able to zoom in properly?

That would kill the life span of the battery's no?

Can I get the cameras and hook it up to my gaming internet routers? instead of purchasing another?

My home has two router one that workds as a bridge and the gaming one.

This expands the range at my home.

Hello justicejutsu

The average battery life for our Arlo cameras is about 4-6 months. With the intended use of about 5-6 mins a day. Our Arlo system was made for on demand viewing and not 24/7 continuous video recording and streaming. If you’re looking for Arlo to record or stream 24/7 you will find that your batteries will need to be replaced more often. Arlo was not meant for this type of use.

Our Arlo cameras do have HD quality. All recorded videos and streaming video will always be in HD unless configured other wise. Arlo can connect to your existing routers. There is no need to purchase an individual router for Arlo. But Arlo does come with a base station which is required for Arlo to work. This base station is not a router and is used in conjunction with the Arlo cameras. I hope this answers all your question.

Arlos should put your message on the box and tell potential buyers to look else where for better battery cameras.  Arlo's is not a good buy!

The Arlo cameras is a really poor product from batteries they don't last that long .They are hard to find if you need to replace them and if you find them they are really expensive . This product was not really tested before it was release.

I have no problem getting 4 months usage on high vid quality...  YMMV depending on your usage... If looking for a 24/7 record camera then the Arlo isn't for you tho the Q may be a better fit.

If you buy the cell locally, I see them in the $2-3 range per, but thru onlice battery supply houses, I  get mine at about $1.40 each
