MAXIMUM number of cameras?

What is the maximum number of cameras any system can handle? And can you view them all from your smart phone? Thanks!

You are limited by your service level as to the number of cams...5, 10, 15

you can only stream / live view a max of 5 cams per base (but there is no real limit on bases now)

I run 8 cams on my old android and same on the iPad...so no problem except the speed of the processor may make a diff if running 5 + at the same time

So to understand, I can have 2 bases on one account (8 cameras) and still keep the basic plan?

No, you'd need at least two accounts, as you can't have more than five cameras per account if you want to stick to the free (basic) plan.

There is NO limit to the number of bases, BUT you are limited to the number of cameras as per your service level ( and the number of days of storage ).

You could run two bases with a basic ( free ) account, but yr still limited to 5 cams.

The advantage to adding second base if you have it is 1) more range 2)you can stream more than 5 cams at same time ( only applies to the higher $ levels ) 3) two differnt locations

Just to be clear I currently have 4 regular arlo cameras and a arlo q camera with one base , if I want to add 3 more regular cameras , using 1 base , I need to upgrade to the paid account ?

Yup.  Basic only gets you 5 cameras, unlimited bases.

As a PS... with any plan, the max number of streaming cams at the same time is 5 per base
