Can I connect my Arlo wireless camera to a Netgear Aircard mobile hotspot?

No, the Arlo camera will sync/connect to the Arlo base only.
In your stated conditions. it's prob a no go.
I have tested and extended the range of a Arlo cam... but it was for testing purposes only and was run for a few weeks.
It involved placing the camera in the center of a parabolic antenna. Not the prettiest to look at with the camera in a 14" dish, but it worked.
I guess it depends on how badly you need the camera and the actual range.
If interested, PM me for more details.

Parabolic attena would certainly extend wifi range, but relatively unattractive. In my case the garden shed is on an allotment a long way from my house, so no amount of power or antenna is going to reach that far. What I want to achieve is a portable camera which links to a portable 4g MIFI device in an area where there is no electricity. I guess I could use an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or to a rechargeable battery pack to supply power, but I still need to link to the 4g MIFI as there is literally no wifi in range.
The following might work, but really cumbersome.
Arlo camera==>Base station (UPS)==>WIFI extender (UPS)==>MIFI device;
I want to cut out the two middle devices connected to the UPS.

As I said, prob a no go the way i did it....
But tho it is harder with no electric it is still do-able. This is one way for longer term over just batteries which would need constant attention.
You'll need small solar panel with controller kit to supply a 12v deep cycle battery
( like this or similar ; http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Watt-12V-Mono-Solar-Panel-Bundle-Kit-Off-Grid-RV-Boat-/281322049660?hash... )
The easy part is the Arlo base runs on 12v and most of the mifi units I've seen can take a 12v car charger.
If you can find a wifi extender that runs on 12v also, that would be it ( or a smal invertor ).
Total cost for above should run < $200 total.
Once again it depends on how important this location is. Anything can work if you throw enough money at it 🙂
