We are probably going to upgrade to CVR, but aren't looking to have 24 hour a day monitoring.  We would prefer to be able to activate/deactivate the CVR for specific times.  Is it complicated to do so?  We definitely don't need the camera on 24/7

Look at SETTINGS - SUBSCRIPTION - MANAGE CAMERA STATUS

drag and drop to inactive should do what you want...drag back to turn on

I guess it's a question of why not just leave it on all the time.  Some folks have privacy concerns that this would help alleviate but it would seem to be reasonable just to leave it on.  The major downside would be constant network access which could be an issue with metered ISP service.  Privacy concerns with someone accessing the stream while in progress or as stored on the servers, to my fevered mind, are minimal (near 0 - nothing will ever be 0, even if it's locally-stored video).  Between the encrypted stream and the need to be able to access your account (you DID use a strong password, right?) it's unlikely that your privacy would be invaded.

Your choice, of course.
