Additional base stations

What are the advantages of having an additional base station besides simply having additional cameras? Wondering if an add'l base station would extend range, aid in faster response times, or ?

The advantage is as you say... You can increase the range of your camera system if your covering a large area.  Each base will set up a wifi network, since each base has a range of approximately 300ft you can cover more than that by separating the bases and linking cameras to the nearest base.

Can you login with your mobile app and view cameras from multiple base statons or do you have to sign in and out of your app with a different account with each base station you add?

yes, the multiple bases stations would be linked to the same account

One other consideration that is not obvious is the fact that you can stream footage from a maximum of four cameras concurrently per each base station. An additional base station will double that restriction to eight, and a third to twelve.
