Hello,

Does anyone know if the base station is always communicating with the cameras even when the base station is on but the cameras are disabled (no motion detection, no recording, and no one accessing them with app)?

I would like to lower as much as possible electromagnetic emissions in my house. I have programmed the base station to detect motion and record only during the night. So during the day, does the base station and the cameras still communicate with each other even if they are supposed not to do anything?

An easy solution would be of course to turn the base station off during the day, and turn it on during the night. But of course if no electromagnetic emission would be active while they are disabled, I could always leave them on.

Thanks

Enrico

Enrico...

When the cameras are not in active use , they  go into a sleep mode so there is almost no communications with the base except a 'ping' now and then to say it's alive. Also , the sleep mode uses almost no power so there is no need to actually turn the system off ( other than put in DISARMED mode )

When the camera is either in live view or recording, of course there is a data stream between the cameras and base.

Hope this answered your question.
