vmb3000 solid amber power light

I had this system set up with a netgear router. I had to get a new ASUS router and now the system only has a solid amber power light when on. I have power cycled it and tried to reset. When I press the reset button it doesn't blink like indicated in the troubleshooting part of the manual. Is there something involving the router that needs to be changed. All help and suggestions are appreciated.

Hold in the RESET button ONLY for ten seconds + till the front LEDs flah amber.

If after this a short time ( min or two ) the base should have rebooted and the power light go green.

If not, it is prob defective. Contact Netgear Support ( top or bottom of page )
