vmb3000 base station can't discover

 VMB 3000 base station has a green power and internet light but I am unable to 'discover' it on my iphone or laptop.

Try a reset of the base using the reset button until the LEDs flash amber.  Let the base initialize (~2 minutes) and try again.  As long as everything is on the same network, you should be able to discover the base.  If not, consider swapping the system for another at the store.
