I spoke to 3 different tech support people and they were about as useful as talking to my dogs. All I need to know is how to fix the issue with the sunlight (I assume reflecting off the concrete) causing the motion sensor to go off nonstop until the sun sets. I have swapped cameras, changed the location, changed the height, changed the light setting, and changed motion sensitivity. Please tell me there is a fix, I don’t want to have to return these.

Better take their advice, they know better. You can also try the facing of your camera.

So your telling me that I should return the cameras and go buy a completely new system from another manufacturer. Because that was their advice.. BS ..... 2 of the cameras work perfect so there has to be a way to adjust the settings or upgrade to another model. YSAbel I think not

Yes, if your system is defective better return it to the store. Why would you like to keep a defective device if it is already proven defective. It would be better to return it and ask for replacement.

Geez, instead of letting the company help fix the problem...pack it up and ship it back....what kind of community support is this ....the tech support person was being lazy and now the people who you should be able to ask advice from are saying return the product.......goodbye Arlo and Netgear ....y’all have lost a customer and will get bad reviews every where I can put them

There's nothing wrong with asking replacement, tho. If I were on your shoes, I'd rather go back to the store and ask replacement. Less hassle. It's just my opinion.

jaag1980,

Do the two cameras that are working without any issues elsewhere behave the same way at the location that has the problem? Swapping placement of these cameras could help isolate if the issue is with the camera or the location.

jaag1980 Yeah I have also the same problem . Been using arlo system now for about 2-3 years and worked great so far . However in the last 6 months or so I have had an issue with the outdoors cameras giving lots of false triggers due to sunlight . The cameras have been in exactly the same spot when I first put them up , no significant change to conditions eg buildings trees etc that would affect sunlight have been made outside . I have even turned the sensitivity way down as well . However I get constant false triggers now .

The advise Ysabel gave has no credit and doesn’t seem to know what she is talking about . I have 3 outdoor cameras now and all are in the same position when originally installed . They all seem to give false triggers around the same time and the cameras indoors are working fine no issues . So for 3 cameras to go faulty at the exactly same time would be astronomically insane odds .

The most reasonable and plausible reason is that net gear / Alro have done an update to the camera sensor algorithm etc which has caused this issue

Hi kirkulles,

Have you tried to remove and reinsert the batteries in your cameras?

lol great recommendation . Of course i have removed the batteries its had this problem for over 6 months now and they have been restarted and turned off etc .

The issue only happens during the day when there is sunlight so the camera IR sensors are not faulty .

It never happened for the years before on the same cameras in the same positions etc .

So the only logical conclusion is that you have done an update to the IR sensor algorithm that has caused this
