actual base model is VMB3010r2  I have set up the first camera without issue.  when i try to sync the second camera i get no response from the LED on the front of the camera.  to be specific i have held down the sync on the base for 2 seconds and released.  the third light is blinking green to show that it is ready to sync.  the camera had a blue light for 2 seconds when i put in the batteries.  when i push the sync button on the camera for 2 seconds and release i get no response from the LED on the camera.  i have tried rebooting the base. updating the firmware. pulling the batteries out of the camera and holding the sync button on the camera for longer and shorter periods with no success. i even moved the first camera out of the room to make sure it wasn't interference.  any help would be appreciated.  right now netgear is suggesting to replace the camera.  i don't think thats the issue if the led lights up when i put the batteries in.

I'd agree with replacing the camera since it's obviously not working properly. It may be as simple as the sync button not working properly but you can't fix that. Either open a case with support or swap the system at the store.
