"Update Camera" notification prevents using camera Arlo Wire Free, Base VMB3000

when the base station places the notification "Update Camera" on each camera being monitored, I can no longer use the camera. I can't use the camera's menu to take a picture, or to start a video clip, etc. This makes me wonder if the camera will still automatically record if it detects motion. It seems like the camera is totally inoperative while the notification is displayed. This is not good. I like the idea of being notified, but I do not like the idea of my cameras being unuseable/inoperative till the update is done. I am not given the opportunity to delay updates and still use my cameras. I noticed this problem with update 1.3.319 although I think this may have existed in previous updates.

Arlo expects you to upgrade to the latest firmware when a new version is made available.
