I also have trobule with with unwanted e-mail alert have looked throught the app settings for a way to dissable e-mail there is not one.
The e-mail alert also stops or interfears with my arlo alert never know if I just have an e-mail or an alert from arlo.
Hope someone knows how to fix it or I have spent a lot of money for usless toy.

Some of the comments here imply that the owner doesn't know that notifications and all other settings are in your modes and rules. Edit those (Armed by default) and be sure to save. Read the FAQs here on modifying notification settings as well as how to create and modify custom modes and rules.

Did you save the settings when you edited the Armed mode?

Yes I did save and no more e-mail. The e-mail was blocking the audio notification now I have the proper alert.
