At first it worked GREAT and even helped police on a car break in case but now a little over a year and the out door camera started to white out. I have reset it multiple time which work for about 2 weeks then starts doing it again. Also noticed it stopped recording after midnight at different times (no schedule set and not consistent) sometimes record all the way through other times not no day specific just random. Started with a high and ended up with the police knocking on my door to ask if I caught anything and had to tell them sorry camera is just for show now. Wont even charge now.. Absolutely disappointing

Cameras you say aren't charging ??  Are you using li-ion 123 cells ?

As to rest of issues, sometimes things just get messed up over time. I recommend using remove device on cameras and base, then reset the base ( hold reset for ten secs tll led flashes ), then set up as if a new system.

This will rebuild all settings in the base system.

Don't forget to readjust the sense level in the modes to get a good trigger on events ( most of mine run about 90% ...default is 80% )
