I Have an old system with 4 H8 cameras. I can save videos to library for free, for a few days. I want to add fifth camera but the new ones seem to require subscription to save videos. is this true? can I still purchase one of the old cameras that would allow me to record to the library without a subscription?

"H8" is the hardware revision of whatever camera models you have. It's not the camera model itself, and you generally can't determine the camera model from the hardware revision.
You can find the camera model by opening the camera and removing the battery - there is a label in there.

All the new cameras (starting with the Ultra back in 2018) require a subscription for cloud storage.

You might be able to find old inventory or purchased used. If you do, you can add it to your system and still get the 7-day cloud storage.
