cameras will not sync with my VMB3000 base station

My 2 Arlo cameras will not sync with the base station. I have tried everything: rebooting everything, new batteries, resetting, numerous "remove device" attempts, nothing is working. The cameras continue to only blink an amber light and not the blue blinking lights for when you are adding a camera to the base. Is this related to the update by Netgear? Please help!

Have you tried inserting a fresh set of batteries? It sounds like the batteries may be depleted.
