camera lens distortion

camera: experiencing "lens distortion." street appears convexed rather than flat.

can this be corrected?

Nope.  They are very wide angle, relatively simple lenses that are basically fisheyes.  You can correct in software but otherwise you'd need to add a corrective lens on the outside.
